Job description

  • As Bid Manager you are responsible for coordinating / managing extensive quotation processes (tenders, RFPs, etc. of Public Sector customers
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the processes – from intake of Tender to Close of Pursuit - run in a structured manner
  • You will make the Bid Plan and Calendar, identify solution owners jointly with Sales & Solution lead and block the calendars based on bid calendar
  • You will coordinate with solution, sales, legal and pricing owners and ensure that they are progressing as per bid plan
  • You will facilitate Solution, Pricing workshops jointly with solution and sales owners respectively
  • You will escalate in case things are not going as per plan and work with sales and solution owner to bring back deliverables as per bid plan
  • As a Bid Manager you are also involved in qualifying the quotation documents
  • As a Bid manager you look at the legal part, the risks and the commercial part. You deal with all kinds of facets that make this work a varied and challenging job. For example, you have to deal with legal conditions, quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISAE 3402 and ITIL are often a requirement for large customers and the rapid developments within the IT world play a major role

Qualification & Skills

  • At least 5 years’ experience and a proven track record as a proposal/bid manager 
  • Relevant experience of leading large multi-year bids/tenders
  • B.E in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch/French/German is preferred
  • A blend of process and business acumen
  • Able to lead and motivate cross functional teams
  • A can-do attitude, result-focused and able to work to tight deadlines
