About the client

Our client is looking for someone to join the team to maximise sales revenue.  The suitable candidate is required to be target driven and hungry to achieve results, they will have the ability to forge effective commercial relationships at all levels and will be able to use their tenacity and experience to drive value.  They will need to believe in the vision and values of our client.

Successful candidate will be required to understand the value that Quartz brings to organizations.  This person must have a track record of sales in product or nice application development deals in any of the industry segments. More than 1 industry segment knowledge is an added advantage. They will fundamentally understand the territory, the science of consultative selling of products and IT services in addition to having strong commercial awareness.  They will need to have an innovative approach to structuring deals and be highly credible with clients. Take part in GTM planning, build offering visibility, build a pipeline of prospects, target a healthy conversion ratio and collaborate with marketing when necessary.

Job description

This role reports into the Sales Director and is part of a larger sales team positioning Quartz as a horizontal offering across different domains.

Quartz is a key horizontal offering from our client that is uniquely positioned to gain traction in the emerging blockchain market.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • To assist in creation and implementation of the sales strategy, approach and objectives for the target market
  • Connect within this industry with key executives like CEO, CFOs, IT Directors, Business Heads, Industry Analysts and market / position Quartz solutions.
  • Lead end to end sales cycle.
  • Manage relationships where necessary with other vendors and partners
  • To identify key opportunities and develop compelling propositions and business cases
  • To ensure routine use of bid review / approval processes, sales reporting and pipeline management tools
  • To develop and maintain the most senior level relationships within target market / accounts in order to maximize sales opportunities.

Qualification & Skills

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree qualification
  • Extensive experience of the industry
  • Relevant experience of competing in the market.
  • Experience of working in virtual teams spread over multiple locations and countries.
  • Broad experience of the IT industry, markets, trends, technologies, and their implications.
  • A strong “can do” attitude and someone who “feels it” when they lose
  • Demonstrable experience in generating sales revenue
  • Consultancy / solution / product sales approach
  • A strong negotiator and able communicator across a varied audience 
  • An innovative style and the ability to craft solutions
  • Strong customer management skills
  • A “black book” would be advantageous 
  • Good team player and able to win the respect of colleagues.
  • Self-starter and ambitious.
  • Highly flexible in working hours and willingness to be driven by the needs of bid timescales.
  • Extensive Travel within BeNeLux, Europe and occasionally to India
