About the client
The Intelligent Business Re-Imagination (IBR) practice is part of our client's Consulting organisation and covers business model redesign, digital transformation, automation and rapid value unlocking across business processes and the operational value chain. Specific elements in this are as follows
- Supply chain (sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, logistics & distribution)
- Portfolio (product development, product life-cycle management, portfolio segmentation)
- Customer (order management, customer segmentation, customer pricing & profitability)
Through application of innovative data-driven insights and rapid prototyping, IBR is enabling Clients to improve operations and associated business performance. Some example results of IBR engagements include

Qualification & Skills
The ideal candidate profile would be comprised of the following attributes
- 8-12 years of visible impact senior-level Management Consulting experience across transportation & logistics including inbound / manufacturing / warehousing / outbound and primary / secondary distribution
- Logistics operational experience is an optional extra – consulting being the more critical skill needed
- Deep understanding of logistics planning and execution processes, challenges and transformation levers (JIT, cross-docking, multi-modal optimization, distributed order management etc)
- Multi-mode experience (air/ocean/road/rail/parcel)
- Multi-volume experience (palletised, bulk, mixed / systems)
- Good knowledge of logistics cost drivers and industry pricing standards by mode and lane together with sourcing and contracting strategies (transaction vs output based)
- Good understanding of technologies in logistics (TMS, WMS etc) and information flows (EDI standards etc)
- Proven track record of business consulting solution design and consulting asset application
- Highly innovative and impact thinking in both business operating model transformation and technology
- Results driven team player who is able to inspire a highly diverse global team
- Analytical skills – ability to process ambiguous information, apply a template/methodology and analyze the information
- Responsible for leading consulting engagements end to end with minimal supervision
- Effective communication – written, presentation and verbal
- Ability to prepare and lead client workshops, capture, document, analyze and communicate information obtained during the workshop
- Self-starter, passionate about results and a team player
- Responsible for delivering business-consulting services, procedures, and processes that are considered value added, measureable, and directly tied to operational interactions with internal customers.
- Able to autonomously identifies, develop, drive innovations and efficiencies in logistics – continually synthesize the latest research and trends for insights and external benchmarking, and make recommendations on what to leverage within our environment.

- Responsible for delivering business consulting services, procedures, and processes that are considered value added, measureable, and directly tied to operational interactions with internal customers.
